Hi, I'm Emma, the founder of Real Life Well-Being.

I started Real Life Well-Being as a way to share ideas of how to live a healthy lifestyle in a realistic way.

I was fed up with all the unrealistic, photoshopped, staged, perfect content out there making me feel like I was somehow not good enough.

So I wanted to have a possibility to share tips about how to live a healthy life in a way which is actually possible in the real world.

Nothing complicated.

Nothing unrealistic.

Just simple, achieveable advice for normal day-to-day living.

For me well-being is a mix of keeping your body, mind and soul healthy. I don't believe you can just focus on one area, you need to keep everything in balance.

If you want to know a little bit more about my background, keep reading...

I love to move. Moving doesn't necessarily mean being in the gym, running (I hate running) or doing some intense training though. It also means beautiful walks in nature, playing with my daughter, stretching or having a go at any activity happens to be going on nearby.

My love of movement started at a young age. At the age of three I discovered my love of dance and since then I have always been active, whether it be dancing, swimming, group fitness, playing squash, hiking, or lifting weights.

I was born in the UK and lived, studied and worked there until 2009 when I moved to Zürich.

I work part-time as a project manager in a large corporation, but my main passion lies in fitness, which is why I took the plunge and trained as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor and reduced to working part-time.

I love the work I do in the fitness industry. It is an amazing feeling to watch people you train achieve amazing results and find a love for fitness.

Aside from my work in the fitness industry, working as a project manager and blogging, I also love spending time with my little family in Zürich & visiting our families in England & Portugal, staying as active as possible, cooking yummy food and travelling the world.

Speaking of food....

I love it.

I am a big food fan and just don't understand people who only eat because they have to.

I kind of wish I was one of those people as it would make it much easier to stay in shape, but hey ho, I love food and it brings a lot of joy into my life.

I definitely believe that eating healthily doesn't have to mean that you can't eat tasty food though, so will happily share recipes throughout this blogging journey.

Apart from nourishing your body with good food, I also believe that you have to nourish your soul with strong connections.

Building close relationships with people I love, strong friendships with people I care for and community spirit in my local area are all ways I like to develop connection.

Connection with self is also key. Meditation. Mindfulness. Deep breathng. Whatever you like to call it, taking time out and focusing on something other than your "monkey mind" is critical in keeping a healthy mind and soul.

Anyway, enough about me. How about you? I'd love to connect, so feel free to say hi!
